Read this amazing article about the 86 year old woman who held out against developers in my town of Ballard. She refused to sell so they built around her. Look at that photograph... we watched them build around her house and yard for the past two years. She died yesterday.

I've got this notion in my head that 'life is too short'. Therefore I have a hankering for the good things in life - all the time. Why sit on your arse on a Saturday, or laze in bed when you can be speeding down a mountain or sitting by a lake miles away from anyone. Music and arts play a powerful roll in my life. This usually leads onto like minded people, not afraid to accept and just be. I show this to my kids and teach them that everyone is equal, that the world can be a wonderful place.
