A Weekend in the Life....

Friday - Took the day off to dry wall one side of Muirenn's room, the side that literally 'fell off' when Lisa started painting (long story). Finished at midnight.

Saturday - Up at 6 to finish the dry-wall before starting the move. Job done by 10:00 a.m. just in time for Mikel to drop his truck round. Moved our stuff over to the new house until 11 ... collapsed at 11:30pm.

Sunday - Started work on finishing Muirenn's room at 7am. Then continued with the move (beds etc.) until 1pm when Mikel needed his truck back. How much junk can 4 people collect! We still have stuff in the old house! Worked on readying the house for our first nights sleep until 11:00 p.m. when I couldn't physically move any more. Crashed out on the couch with a beer to discover 'Dirty Sanchez' has finally made it over here, all be it 'Americanized' with no nakedness and a new name - Team Sanchez!?! Still, took a certain amount of pride in knowing I was one amongst only a few dozen in this entire country who could understand their accents!

"Darn I shot the wrong innocent victim!"

Sorry, I can't help but compare how this five time vietnam draft dodger shoots an innocent man and hopes he'll get away with it without anyone noticing. Kind of like how he invades a country and hopes he can get away with that too! Oh, how wonderful it must be to head the search for a vice-president nominee and appoint yourself!

Oh, and I just love how he chose to speak to Fox News about it, the republican propoganda network!

AMERICAN FOOTBALL? WHAT'S THAT?

True, the Seahawks fans believe they were robbed by bias refereeing and I sympathize with them. Watching the game stirred the same kind of emotions many a (real) football game stirs when the ref is being a twat! However, in (real) football things balance out by season end, much the same as Sundays Super Bowl. The Hawks blew it AND they know it. The good news is they'll be back....

GO HAWKS!!!

I had planned on delving into (and re-awakening) my mild interest for American Football gradually over the forthecoming years. But low and behold, my first year here and the Seattle Seahawks are in the Superbowl this Sunday for the first time in their career (I think). It would be rude not to watch really....
Keys to the House

As I'm writing this, Lisa is in our new house no doubt making lists of what colours need to go where. For any of you home repair folk, watch this space for trials and tribulations (is that a word?) of DIY!
