Halloween!
The night kicked off for the kids in downtown Ballard where all the shops had treats. There were costumes of all shapes and sizes crowding the streets and braving the cold wet night. We then took a trip around the local neighbourhood with our friends, stocking up on enough sweets to last the girls until Christmas.... or Friday! http://photoshow.comcast.net/leinster/special_occasions

Quiet Around Here...

It's been a very quiet month. I've been busy contacting companies and doing the 'networking' thing as I attempt to find a job. I think something's going to come together soon. Unfortunately I've had to cut back on our outings in and around Seattle, but that's not to say I haven't sampled a few establishments of the bar variety - the local Northwest brews are some of the finest Ales I've got my taste buds into. Another open-mic night has been clocked up too. I never thought I'd enjoy sitting on a stool playing my acoustic guitar all on my lonesome to two dozen strangers, but I have to say, I'm hooked. This blog will get more interesting again soon, I promise....

Aislinn's 5th Birthday!

We took Aislinn and all her friends from pre-school plus her best friend Finn around the corner and his sister Eavan, bowling for her Birthday. Aislinn bowled like a star and tied the afternoon with Earl who had his birthday yesterday. Who would of thought she would have had such a successful birthday and made such lovely friends after only being here in Seattle four months!?
